review text: summary movie Hansel & Gretel witch hunters (2013)

“wait here, I’ll be back soon.” Said the father promising to his children while leaving them in the woods as he goes through the woods with a lantern. Hansel and Gretel wait patiently but their father never come. They begin to walk and search their father but they do not find him. On their way, they see a house made by candies and cakes in the middle of the woods. They temped to eat some cakes and candies. Suddenly they are frightened as they see a horrible creature type goblin witch.

                She drags the children in, and locks Hansel in a cage then she chains Gretel’s hand. The witch forced Hansel to eat some cakes or she will kills Gretel. Hansel perforce to eat that cakes. The witch bark out Gretel to heats up the oven, she plans to throw them inside. Hansel and Gretel manages to escape. When the witch open the cage and drags out Hansel, she drops the key. Gretel picks up the key and open the chain in her hand and takes a knife near to her, she trying to cut off the rope in Hansel’s hand. The witch realized, she throw a spells to Gretel but Gretel immune to her spells. Gretel stabs the witch with the knife and throw her on the fire with Hansel’s help.

                Hansel and Gretel become famous orphans since the escaped from the witch, they become witch hunters and are hired by people to kill witches. They are imunne to witch spells and curses.

                A years later, in the town named Augsburg, there is a man (a sherrif) judging a brunnete girl named Mina. Mina accused as a witch. This man said that so many children who lost here because of her, and people should kills her. Hansel and Gretel rescue her from the man and explain that she cant be a witch for various reasons. Hansel and Gretel are hired by Mayor englemann to rescue all the children. Mayor englemann said that there are 11 children who lost, 6 of them are male, and 5 of them are female.

                The next day, Hansel and Gretel go to the woods as a man in the bar burst to say that there is a witch in the woods, Hansel and Gretel prepared their weapon and they kills the witch.

                The next morning in the market, Mina (a girl who accused as a witch) talks to Hansel. But suddenly Hansel feels sick that he has to inject himself. There, she find out that Hansel has diabetes.

                In the woods we see a witch approaching a child who is crying, however it is just a trap set up by Hansel and Gretel. They get into a huge battle and capture her. They bring the witch to the sheriff’s office and ask her about the children, she said that for the festival they have to sacrifice 12 children. And they only need one more girl who they have already targeted. Hansel and Gretel start to warn the people in the town to keep their children, but late the witches attack the town and killed so many people. Muriel, a very powerful witch also now fighting with Gretel. Ben, a guy in the bar, saves her after she knocked unconscious. And during it, Gretel is taken care by him.

                Gretel trying to get into the woods again, finding Hansel. In her way, she is attack by Sherrif and his men  but she saved by Edward, a troll that work for the witches. Gretel thankful to the Edwards. In the other way, Hansel is caught in a tree, and Mina finds him, and she take care of him in the river.

                A moment later, Gretel finds Hansel in an abandoned cabin. They start to leave but discover it is their childhood home. Suddenly Muriel the witch shows up and tells that their mother is a powerful white witch and she begin to tells everything about their parents.

                After telling the stories, Muriel said to Gretel that time is running out, and Gretel’s heart is needed in the ceremony. Unexpectedly, Muriel takes Gretel, and attacks Hansel til unconscious.

                When Hansel woke up, he is saved again by Mina. Miraculously, all the wounds in Hansel has gone. Hansel realized that Mina is a witch, but Mina tells that she is a white witch. Hansel determine to saves Gretel. He is helped by Mina, and she gives a bottle of water which has been given a spells and pour it onto all the weapons. Then, they are ready to attacks the witch’s place and Ben helping too.

                Hansel preparing a trap in the woods, he set a sharp thread and tie it on the trees. Hansel ask Ben to stay there, and he gives Ben a weapon.

                Now it’s the time, Hansel and Mina go to the witch’s place. They see Gretel is tied and there are kidnapped children. And also, so many witches in the ceremony. Hansel and Mina start attacking the witch. And Muriel, she ready to take Gretel’s heart, but Edward knocked Muriel down.

                In the woods, Muriel and some witches fly away on high speed with its broomstick. Suddenly the witches hit the thread and fall into pieces. But Muriel isn’t caught by that trap. Ben see Muriel and shoot her. Hansel, Gretel, Mina, and Ben run into the place where Muriel shot. When they arrive at that place, Muriel suddenly attacks Mina, and she died. Now, Hansel and Gretel are on a great battle with Muriel. Finally they killed Muriel by cut off her head.

                Hansel and Gretel’s duty are complete now. The kidnapped children already home safely. Hansel and Gretel still being witch hunters and also two others, Ben and Edwards.
